Kuoni Travels has reported a 28% rise in travel to Maldives in the first six months of 2008 when compared to same period in 2007 according to a Release by Kuoni yesterday.

According to Kuoni, Maldives is their No. 1 destination and the popularity of Maldives is increasing and is unaffected by UK’s ever changing financial landscape.

"The Maldives is one of the destinations which have not been affected by the current economic climate,” says Kuoni’s eBusiness Director, Matt Rooke. “In fact, with it’s ‘no-news’ tranquility and natural beauty, it is the ideal destination to escape from press coverage of the economy".

Kuoni has posted a number of online videos of Maldives on their website which has encouraged number travelers to visit Maldives. The footages include beautiful sandy beaches, sparkling blue seas with a host of tropical fish and stunning coral lurking beneath the waves.

“The videos not only highlight the stunning scenery of the Maldives, but also provide potential travelers with a fantastic tool to review the wide choice of hotels available on the different islands,” said Rooke.

Kuoni Travel is one of the leading travel organizations in the world.
