Centara Maldives offers underwater wedding package

Centara Grand Island Resort&Spa Maldives has introduced an underwater wedding package that provides an unforgettable setting against a background of the picturesque Kudhimaa Wreck, with its colorful marine life.

The Kudhimaa underwater wedding package is priced at US$700 and includes a dive master and master of ceremony.

The resort has its own house reef complete with shipwreck, and the couple are escorted underwater to the location for the ceremony, where they exchange vows by writing on a special board.

A number of extra services are available, including a gourmet lunch on a secluded island at US$550 per person, a private sunset cruise with champagne and canapes (US$130 per person), a picnic on a sand bank (US$100 per person), and spa and beauty treatment (US$210 per person).

The happy couple also have the option of a romantic dinner on the beach at US$195 per person.

The optional items and services are subject to a goods and service tax at 3.5 percent and 10 percent service charge.
