Sheraton Maldives appoints Moon Kang as Executive Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage

Sheraton Maldives has announced the appointment of Moon Kang as Executive Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage.

Prior to his appointment at Sheraton Maldives, Moon served as Director of Food & Beverage at W Seoul Walkerhill from 2008 onwards. During his tenure with W Seoul Walkerhill, Moon was instrumental in the growth of the property’s food & beverage revenues and also for a number of acclaimed awards awarded to the property.

Being an Australian, Moon began his nearly decade long career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts close to home at The Westin Sydney in 2002 as Lobby Bar Shift Leader. During the span of 6 years which he spent with The Westin Sydney, he rose through the ranks to the position of Mosaic Restaurant and In Room Dining Manager in 2006 before joining W Seoul Walkerhill.

Referring to the appointment with Sheraton Maldives, Moon said that ―I’m very excited to be in the Maldives and to join the wonderful team here at Sheraton Maldives.

Continuing further regarding the Maldives, Moon cited that he was one of several million people who have always desired to visit the sunny paradise of the Maldives. Known for his friendly charisma and positive thinking at work, Moon loves to go fishing and snorkeling during his spare time and expressed a new found interest to learn more about the culture and island lifestyle in the Maldives.

Moon whose educational background lies in Commerce, Hotel Management and Customer Service attained his Masters at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
